Green Valley Economic Development Strategy
The Green Valley Initiative has helped open the door to federal funding for clean- and green-technology projects taking root in the Inland Empire. A Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) report commissioned by GVI has qualified the region for Department of Commerce funding related to the initiative.
The Green Valley Initiative is linking clean- and green-tech companies with trade and logistics industries to promote collaborative projects within the region. These projects will target the processes between point-of-production and end-user, including packaging, transportation, warehousing and inventory. Reverse logistics, involving the collection, recycling and disposing of materials, will also be addressed.
The Green Valley Initiative strategy reflects the findings of several studies, reports and surveys commissioned by GVI.
Green Valley Ambassadors
The Ambassadors is a reality TV show chronicling the efforts of 12 Inland Empire high school students competing to promote GVI principles at home and in their communities. The winner will win a $50,000 scholarship.
